Social and environmental responsibility has become an important driver in many modern businesses-half of all FTSE-100 companies produce a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report. So, if large corporations have developed policies to accommodate UK consumers and their increasingly progressive position on ethics, why have small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) been less active in integrating sustainable business practices into their organisations?
近年來，全球氣候反常、暖化，今年冬季更是全球變暖，因而引起各國重視，並紛紛採取措施，配合與因應京都議定書的生效實施及國際間嚴格執行的環保標準。至於美國矽谷高科技業著手向環保進軍，發展相關環保清潔產業，以及中國大陸巧妙運用溫室氣體管制與二氧化碳排放權交易制度而從中獲益，都值得我台商參考，搶得全球變暖商機。
