中華電信從去年開始推動「數位造林」計畫的,並邀請紀錄片名導演林育賢操刀,由中華電信企劃與贊助,經過一年的規劃和拍攝,完成了「種樹的男人」紀錄片 ,作為中華電信十二週年慶的主題影片,並宣佈2008年為中華電信的「數位造林。實踐年」。 由中華電信贊助的首映會,將於7月4日(五)晚上 7::00 於新光敦南大樓12樓舉行。

Here’s what BusinessWeek say this week about Nokia’s attempt to grow customers amongst the “aspiring poor” of India and Kenya. In Public Relations we talk alot about ‘channels’ - what’s the best way to reach and communicate your message with your target audience. Considering that most of this bottom tier of the pyramid live in rural villages, or urban slums and shantytowns, and make up 40 to 60 percent of all economic activity in developing countries, I think inclusive capitalism (or tenants of social capitalism, although I confess not to be completely versed on the implications of this theory) is something for MNCs to seriously consider and, following that, the PR industry.

Anya Hindmarch以英國頂級時尚品牌之姿,讓歐美明星在鏡頭前使用這個袋子,發揮影響力,讓大家愛用環保購物袋,這些都是很正面的事情。但若是真正有心,就不該限量,而是在全球所有專櫃都是常銷商品,讓所有的人都買得到這個袋子,也喜歡每天使用,時時傳達環保理念。 設計師協會理事長潘黛麗認為,國內服裝設計師、品牌較少在作品中強調「環保」,但並不意味著設計師們不重視這個議題。潘黛麗多年來無論工作、出席時尚場合,肩上永遠背著大大的帆布包,「我不需要使用名牌帆布包,凸顯自己的環保」。

擔心兒童看太多電視垃圾食物廣告而受「引誘」,衛生署食品衛生處決議,一年內包括迪士尼、東森YOYO台在內四家兒童頻道,垃圾食物廣告下午四時到八時晚餐時段禁播。 食品衛生處長鄭慧文說,這是第一階段禁播頻道,若實施順利,未來將擴展到所有頻道的晚餐時段。

Companies are in a Catch 22 situation when it comes to communicating their corporate citizenship, says Alsop. If you over publicize what you do, the public will view it as self-serving. If you don’t publicize it, you get no credit. “Developing a good and clean reputation as an organization is a necessary – but not sufficient – component for success in reputation management and success in engaging, retaining and recruiting employees,” according to Dennis Garritan, academic director and clinical associate professor of the M.S. in Human Resource Management and Development program at NYU-SCPS. “What is both necessary and sufficient is to develop a reputation for quality.”

"Big companies used to arrogantly think they were invulnerable thanks to the power of marketing, but they have suddenly discovered they are not. You could see some of them start to fail over the next few years if they don't embrace this." This is certainly not just the domain of right-on social workers and university lecturers any longer. With sales of organic and fair trade products seeing annual double-digit percentage growth, think-tank The Future Foundation estimates that 10% of consumers buy ethically whenever possible and that a further 40% do so "at least sometimes".
