SILK marks the first time Yosuke Eguchi left his homeland, Japan, to shoot a film overseas. It is also his first attempt at doing a Chinese movie. Even so, the 38-year-old Tokyo native is game for another Chinese-language film and is confident that he will be able to overcome the language barrier.
