Wiki有什麼好處？ Wiki本身在知識架構的產生上相當具有彈性，除了能讓使用者依照自己的方式架構知識外，系統上面的知識內容是處於不斷變動的有機狀態。也就是說，相較於結構化的KM系統，Wiki沒有事先定義好的架構與流程，反而讓使用者可以自己定義系統的流程與使用方式。 過去的KM系統，為了滿足多數使用者的需要，往往加入了許多不必要的流程及架構。相反的，Wiki工具是比較簡單的，所需要的軟硬體資源也相對較少，使得Wiki成為一個更好的投資。
開放教育資源包含許多不同種類的資源，例如學習內容（課程內容、課程計畫、學習目標等）、工具（開發軟體、內容的管理與再次使用）與公眾授權條款之介紹等等。
