在中國的Web2.0裏，維基是一個“低調”的詞，它既不像博客那般名噪一時，也不似社交網站那樣廣受人們的追捧。盡管如此，中國的維基開拓者們依然堅持理想，努力突破市場環境給維基產業發展帶來的壓力，探索出一條中國模式的維基發展之路。
經過3年的使用，“情報百科”終于取得了極大的成功，但這個新的係統到底能走多遠仍不可知。除了仍然有安全隱患之外，“情報百科”的推動者也承認，它目前只能起到輔助決策的作用。還沒有一份送往決策者桌上的情報產品是直接從“情報百科”當中產生的。《國家情報評估》也還是用傳統的方式書寫，在內部同層級的人之間流通會簽以尋求共識。
