維基百科受累於其自身的成功？ - 譯言翻譯

回頭看看，以前認為維基百科將永遠一帆風順的想法是太天真了點。2001年的時候，一切與網絡有關的東西都在瘋長。維基那時剛剛起步。它這種靠網友增添詞條的網絡百科全書，內容是以指數級增長的。就是在2年前，維基每天增加的條目平均起來也有2200篇。2007年9月，維基的英文版詞條數衝破2百萬大關，2009年8月更是達到3百萬條之多。歷史上彙集知識最為豐富的百科全書是600年前中國的永樂大典，而維基已經將其甩在身後（至少根據他們的條目數來說是這樣）。

維基百科於二○○一年創立，條目在短短數年已急增至數以百萬計，目前已接近三百萬大關。然而加州帕洛阿爾托研究中心一個由華裔電腦科學家紀懷新領導的研究小組對該網站的下載版進行分析後發現，維基的巔峰時期已在不經不覺間過去。每月新增條目的數量在○六年升至六萬的最高點後，已逐漸減少，如今只有四萬左右。○七年，每月編寫次數和活躍編輯的數目分別停滯於大約五百五十萬和七十五萬

The Wikimedia Foundation has resolved to migrate the copyright licensing of all of its wiki projects including Wikipedia from the GNU Free Documentation License to the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 3 0 License The migration is scheduled to be completed on June 15 After the migration reprints of material from the wikis will no longer require a full copy of the GFDL to be attached and the attribution rules will require only a link to the wiki page

經過3年的使用，“情報百科”終于取得了極大的成功，但這個新的係統到底能走多遠仍不可知。除了仍然有安全隱患之外，“情報百科”的推動者也承認，它目前只能起到輔助決策的作用。還沒有一份送往決策者桌上的情報產品是直接從“情報百科”當中產生的。《國家情報評估》也還是用傳統的方式書寫，在內部同層級的人之間流通會簽以尋求共識。

維基百科也是運用海耶克的基本學理。他認為，多數知識是片斷、散落各處、不定時發生、隨時更新的，因此以中央集權體系來管理，自然捉襟見肘。相對的，分權方式才能配合知識的特性，整合知識、傳播知識。有效率地得到知識，做出精確判斷，是資本主義運行的關鍵。因此，以分權為肌理的市場機制，才能讓資本主義健全發展。

BoltWire 是一個標準的內容管理系統，使用最普遍的「Apache php」環境，可以架設標準的網站供人瀏覽，最有趣的是，BoltWire 的程式碼總長度只有 236K，比最新版的 TiddlyWiki 還小（其中有 40K 還是程式的註解）。也比素來以短小精悍著稱的 PmWiki 要小。程式這麼小，功能有多少呢？出乎意料之外，BoltWire擁有許多讓我驚豔的能力

你知道可以自己从维基百科上收集维基页面打印成书吗？是的，目前可以，多亏维基百科基金会和一家德国网站PediaPress的合作。上周“维基打印”功能对除了德语以外还有6种语言开放，但截至昨天该功能在“常规英语维基百科”（译者注：区别于简单英语维基百科 simple english wikipedia 上仍在测试中。（仅注册用户可用）

《MIT技術評論》11月 12月一期分析了維基百科的三大核心內容原則和其缺陷，認為維基百科重新定義了普遍接受的「真實」的含義。用戶在用Google或Yahoo搜索關鍵詞時，根據其排名算法（Google是根據文章外鏈的次數），維基百科的文章常常處於首頁或首項，從某種意義上這代表了文章的可信度。不過眾多學術領域的專家堅持認為維基百科的文章不可信，因為它是由從沒有經過資格審查的志願者編輯的。研究顯示維基百科的文章正確性令人矚目，但是維基文章的真實性並非是基於一致性或可觀察性之類的原則。

Wiki有什麼好處？ Wiki本身在知識架構的產生上相當具有彈性，除了能讓使用者依照自己的方式架構知識外，系統上面的知識內容是處於不斷變動的有機狀態。也就是說，相較於結構化的KM系統，Wiki沒有事先定義好的架構與流程，反而讓使用者可以自己定義系統的流程與使用方式。過去的KM系統，為了滿足多數使用者的需要，往往加入了許多不必要的流程及架構。相反的，Wiki工具是比較簡單的，所需要的軟硬體資源也相對較少，使得Wiki成為一個更好的投資。

摘錄自全國高中職圖書館電子報 http shslc ltsh ilc edu tw epaper epaper53 epaper53 htm 傳統書展，都是將展示書目從書庫拿下來之後造冊、陳列。書展的用意就如同商店貨品促銷，放在最搶眼的地方，方便顧客（讀者）獲取，其目的就是「推廣閱讀」。但假如讀者對書展內容不感興趣，原本的美意可能成為一個乏人問津的攤位，實在令人灰心。因此本館這次書展，增加幾個元素供各位分享。
