【議題】我如何上《宜蘭童玩節之死》這一課
96年8月7日到9月26日之間，台灣許多媒體都花了相當篇幅處理童玩節停辦的相關報導與討論（例如：公共電視的公民眾議院、三立大話新聞、TVBS新聞念真情...等等）霎時間，童玩節繼當年創下公辦活動自給自足範例之後再度成為眾所矚目的焦點。總統電子報、兩位總統參選人都紛紛發表對於童玩節的肯定與不捨，國際組織CIOFF(註1)的會員國還破天荒連署呼籲宜蘭縣政府恢復辦理童玩節。而網路上破萬的討論發言、搶救童玩節的部落格串連等等舉措，都可以看出童玩節在台灣節慶活動中的指標地位，而如此具有指標性的活動停辦，其背後原因的分析探討，自然是研究地方節慶者責無旁貸的任務。
